Concerns on Afghan inmate executions in Iran ... - Ariana News

Sat Oct 13, 3:27 pm

The Afghanistan Human rights committee and the civil society activist network demanded a halt to the hangings of Afghan immigrants by the government of Iran.

Based on various reports, the Iranian government is planning to hang more than 1000 Afghan immigrants who are sentenced to death in their country.

The Afghanistan Human rights committee and civil society activists in the country said that the Iran Government is committing a terrible massacre and unwarranted violence that is against International regulations that are recognized across the globe.? They demanded the United Nations Organization to act seriously and send a special envoy to find the solution to this inhumane injustice.

Earilier the Upper house of the Parliament had expressed their concerns about the hanging of Afghan inmates and the living conditions that they suffer in the jails of Iran.

Though several efforts have been made to achieve good results, it seems that the deployment of special envoys and negotiations with Iran?s Government has not yet had good results.

In the past few days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country has said the Iranian Government should observe the mutual agreements that already exist between Iran and the Afghanistan Government and behave according to those agreements in its treatment of the Afghan criminals that are in jail in Iran.
