JTEKT Automotive Texas has a great opportunity for an experienced cost accountant. Candidates should have a supportive, positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Position requires candidates to be self-driven and a team player, yet able to work independently with little or no supervision. Candidate should be flexible and not easily unnerved with changing and/or increasing demands. Ideal candidates enjoy learning and seek self-improvement and continuous improvement of processes.

Essential job duties include:
? Develop costs for quotes based on analysis of each product.
? Administer the tracking of capital cost prior to capitalization and other fixed asset projects for commodity line reporting.
? Assist in the analysis of allocations and other costs related to customer product lines.
? Coordinate with sales and marketing, purchasing, engineering, and operations to achieve cost planning targets at each customer.
? Assist in inventory tracking and support maintenance of accurate inventory control systems.
? Assist in the development and transmissions of the operating plan and long-range plan.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting and two years cost accounting experience
? Manufacturing related experience in fixed asset accounting and tracking, standard cost development and reporting, integrated cost systems, physical inventory, and preparations of cost for customer quotes
? Must have audit experience and plant cost accounting experience
? Requires strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, and an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Access. Data manipulation skills, including use of pivot tables, are essential.
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

? All non-manager positions are eligible to receive a semi-annual bonus (paid in June and December) up to 6% of compensation paid in the corresponding six month period. The calculation for this bonus is based on the company?s performance in four areas: safety, quality, delivery, and costs.
